If your contract has finished and you are still in the UAE, you do not always have to fly home and start again. In many cases you can move directly to a new employer while you are still here.
This is the fastest route into a new job, and it is the one most workers do not know about. Here is how it works.
You can change employer once your contract ends
When a household contract reaches its end, you are free to look for a new employer. You are not tied to the family you worked for, and you do not need their permission to look elsewhere.
The new job has to be arranged properly, through a licensed office, with a new contract and a new visa in your name. Anything arranged privately, without paperwork, leaves you with no protection at all if something goes wrong.
It usually takes one day
A transfer inside the UAE is much faster than recruitment from abroad. Once we have your documents and a family is ready, the paperwork is normally completed in one day.
For comparison:
- Transfer inside the UAE — about one day
- Coming from the Philippines with a valid visa — about two days
- Travelling abroad for the first time — about two weeks
What you can earn
These are the monthly salary ranges we currently place workers at:
| Role | Monthly salary (AED) |
|---|---|
| Housemaid | 1,500 – 1,800 |
| Nanny | 1,500 – 1,800 |
| Cook | 1,500 – 1,800 |
| Caregiver | 1,800 – 2,500 |
| Private driver | 2,500 – 3,000 |
Where you fall inside a range depends on your experience, the languages you speak, and the size of the household.
Driver positions require a valid UAE driving licence. A licence from your home country is not enough on its own.
Your salary must be paid into a bank account in your own name. If anyone offers you cash in hand with no account and no record, that is not a proper arrangement.
What to send us to start
Message us on WhatsApp with:
- A photo of your passport
- One personal photo
- A short video introducing yourself — about one minute, in English
The video is optional. It helps a family get to know you before they decide, but if you are not comfortable sending one, tell us and we will proceed without it. We do not publish it anywhere. It is shown only to a family considering you for a position.
What to check before you agree to anything
These points apply to us and to every other office. Please hold us to them.
You never pay to get a job. The employer covers the cost of the visa, the medical test and the paperwork. If an office asks you for a placement fee, walk away.
Read the contract before you sign. You are entitled to see the salary, the role and the terms in writing. Ask about any line you do not understand, and do not sign a paper you have not read.
Your passport stays yours. Do not hand your original passport to anyone before a contract is signed, and it remains your property after you start work.
Ask for the office licence. Any real office will show you its trade licence without hesitating. If someone refuses, that tells you what you need to know.
Ready to start
If your contract has ended and you are looking for your next position, send us a message. Applying is free, there is no obligation, and we will tell you honestly whether we have something that fits you.
We are ALQUBTAN Agency, with offices in Al Ain and Ajman, United Arab Emirates. Trade licence CN-4012763.
